About

SeenItYet

is a web video gold mine and sharing machine created for two reasons...

1. So that you can easily find the web's best videos, first.

If you've spent enough time on popular video sites, you've probably suffered through a lot of bad videos. But for every 99 videos that you didn’t need to see, there's that 1 that cracks you up or blows your mind. SeenItYet is all about filtering out the bad, and surfacing the good - thus decreasing boredom while increasing hilarity. To do this, members submit videos from the web's top video sites (YouTube, Hulu, CollegeHumor, FunnyorDie, etc) which are then rated by the community (that would be you). Once the people have spoken, only the highest rated new videos reach the homepage. There, you can quickly browse the day's best videos, from multiple video sites, in one simple interface.

2. To help you entertain your friends.

When you come across a funny video online, it's only natural to want to share the laughs with friends. SeenItYet Sharing allows you do just that - but in a much more personal way.

SeenItYet treats every video you share, as an invitation to a private screening page for your group of friends. With "Seen It" tracking, you and your friends can tell right away - who is in on the joke, or left out in the dark. SeenItYet Sharing also provides a private, real-time updating, comment thread, so your group can openly discuss, without having to deal with annoying comments from people you don't know.

And if your video sharing style is a little less direct… you can post your discoveries to Facebook or tweet about them on Twitter, with just a click or two.

How we got started

SeenItYet was founded in 2008, in Downtown L.A., by veteran online video creators, James McFadden and Tyler McFadden of GoPotato TV. After frequently asking friends, "have you seen this video yet?" then handing them a laptop, the McFadden Bros realized there had to be a better way to share videos with friends.
